Breeze Lease Purchase

Breeze Lease for HVAC and water heaters

Breeze Lease Purchase is a division of Okinus that leases heating, cooling and water heating equipment to homeowners through contractors. Breeze says approvals range from $9,000 to $18,000, and water heater payments can be spread over up to 48 months. Like Okinus, it’s a lease, not a loan.

What Breeze Lease Purchase is

Breeze describes itself as a division of Okinus Credit Solutions, serving the U.S. from its Georgia home office since 2004. It focuses on equipment a contractor installs in your home, rather than items you take home from a store.

  • Heating and cooling

Air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and boilers.

  • Water heaters

    Traditional and tankless water heaters.

  • Major parts

Replacement parts such as heat exchangers and evaporator coils.

  • Separately licensed

Breeze holds its own rent-to-own license in Oklahoma (RTO08048).

How it works

  1. Your HVAC or plumbing contractor quotes the job and sends you the Breeze application. Breeze says it takes under a minute and can start from a QR code.
  2. If approved, the contractor creates the lease-purchase contract for you to review and sign.
  3. The equipment is installed, and Breeze funds the contractor. Breeze says funding can take as little as 3 days.
  4. You make fixed monthly payments for the life of the lease, or buy early under your agreement’s terms.
Read the contract before installationAsk for the cash price of the job, the payment, the number of payments and the total cost to own. If an early purchase option is included, note its deadline.

Credit checks and costs

Breeze says it doesn’t use hard credit checks or require a large down payment. That doesn’t mean no information is checked, and it doesn’t make the lease cheap: as with any lease-to-own agreement, the total of your payments will usually be more than the contractor’s cash price.

Breeze also offers an optional service plan and a Loss Damage Waiver. Ask how each changes your monthly payment. See Care Plus and LDW explained.

Other ways to pay for HVAC

  • Contractor financing

Many contractors offer their own financing or payment plans. Compare the APR and total cost with the lease.

  • A personal loan

A loan gives you cash for any contractor, with a fixed APR. How personal loans work.

  • Utility rebates

Utilities and energy programs sometimes offer rebates on efficient equipment. Ask your contractor.
